Veterinarian, Medical Director
Dr. Mark Claus brings 35 years of veterinary experience to South Shores Animal Hospital, where he serves as the Medical Director. A proud graduate of The Ohio State University, Dr. Claus is dedicated to providing superior patient care, supported by a skilled and compassionate team. His extensive experience allows him to deliver high-quality veterinary services, ensuring the health and well-being of every animal that comes through the clinic. Outside of his professional commitments, Dr. Claus enjoys golfing and cherishing moments with his grandchildren, embracing life’s simple joys.
Noda Kana, DVM
Veterinarian
Kana Noda, DVM, has been practicing veterinary medicine for 18 years and is a valued member of the team at South Shores Animal Hospital. A graduate of the Royal Veterinary College, she takes great pride in ensuring each patient receives the same level of care and attention she would want for her own loved ones. Outside of work, Kana enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their beloved Lhasa Apso.
Karen Stasiak, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Karen, a graduate of The Ohio State University, has been a dedicated veterinarian at South Shores Animal Hospital since 2023. With a passion for continuous learning, she is committed to providing the best medical solutions for her patients and has a strong focus on the prevention of infectious diseases. In her free time, Dr. Karen enjoys playing with her Maltese and traveling to new places. She also loves working on puzzles and playing music on both the harp and piano, finding joy and relaxation in her diverse interests.
Kimberly Arnold, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Kim Arnold team member since 2017 after earning her degree from the University of Illinois. At South Shores Animal Hospital, she prides herself on building lasting relationships with pets and their owners to provide the best possible care. Dr. Arnold believes that trust and understanding are key to ensuring the health and happiness of each animal she treats. When she’s not in the clinic, Dr. Arnold enjoys reading, playing games, hiking, and spending quality time with her husband and daughters.
Nina Suziki, BVSc, MRCVS
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Nina Suzuki has been a devoted associate veterinarian at South Shores Animal Hospital since 1998. A graduate of the University of Liverpool in the UK, Dr. Suzuki is committed to delivering compassionate care to both pets and their owners. She believes that a strong bond of trust is essential in veterinary medicine, embodying her motto: “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.” Dr. Suzuki integrates modern techniques with traditional practices, ensuring a well-rounded approach to veterinary care. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys traveling, practicing yoga, hiking, and golfing, finding balance and joy in her personal pursuits.
Andra Booth, VGAL
Veterinary Graduate Assistant
Andra Booth graduated from veterinary school in Romania and has been dedicated to animal care since 2016. She began her career as a licensed veterinary technician and is currently pursuing accreditation in the United States through the ECFVG program. For the past year, Andrea has worked as a Veterinary Graduate Assistant (VGAL), bringing her expertise to South Shores Animal Hospital.
Andrea’s professional interests include dentistry, dermatology, and ophthalmology, and she prides herself on treating every patient with the same compassion and empathy she would show her own pets. Fluent in three languages, Andrea also has a passion for the outdoors, traveling, camping, kayaking, photography, and criminal sciences. At home, she has two adopted dogs and a cat, each of whom holds a special place in her heart.

Veterinarian Assistant
Christina is a Veterinary Assistant at South Shores Animal Hospital with over 20 years of experience. She takes great pride in the many aspects of her work, but what she values most is the bond she builds with her patients. Whether they’re visiting for a routine check-up or seeking care during an illness, Christina cherishes knowing that her efforts help ease their pain and anxiety. Seeing them remember her fills her heart with joy.
In her free time, Christina enjoys cooking (especially for her co-workers), watching movies while spending time with her mini zoo of dogs and cats, and learning Spanish on Duolingo.

Licensed Veterinary Technician
Kelsie is a Licensed Veterinary Technician at South Shores Animal Hospital with six years of experience. A graduate of PIMA, she takes pride in making her patients feel comfortable during their exams and excels at performing physical skills efficiently to help minimize treatment times.
