Dr. Mark Claus

Veterinarian, Medical Director

Dr. Mark Claus has been practicing veterinary medicine since 1990 and has served as the Medical Director at South Shores Animal Hospital since 2001. A proud graduate of The Ohio State University, Dr. Claus is dedicated to providing superior patient care, supported by a skilled and compassionate team. His extensive experience allows him to deliver high-quality veterinary services, ensuring the health and well-being of every animal that comes through the clinic. Outside of his professional commitments, Dr. Claus enjoys golfing and cherishing moments with his grandchildren, embracing life’s simple joys.

Noda Kana, DVM

Veterinarian

Kana Noda, DVM, has been practicing veterinary medicine since 2007 and is a valued member of the team at South Shores Animal Hospital since 2007. A graduate of the Royal Veterinary College, she takes great pride in ensuring each patient receives the same level of care and attention she would want for her own loved ones. Outside of work, Kana enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their beloved Lhasa Apso.

Karen Stasiak, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Karen, a 1998 graduate of The Ohio State University, has been a dedicated veterinarian at South Shores Animal Hospital since 2024. With a passion for continuous learning, she is committed to providing the best medical solutions for her patients and has a strong focus on the prevention of infectious diseases. In her free time, Dr. Karen enjoys playing with her Maltese and traveling to new places. She also loves working on puzzles and playing music on both the harp and piano, finding joy and relaxation in her diverse interests.

Kimberly Arnold, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Kim Arnold has been a valued team member at South Shores Animal Hospital since 2017, after earning her degree from the University of Illinois in 2010. She prides herself on building lasting relationships with pets and their owners to provide the best possible care. Dr. Arnold believes that trust and understanding are key to ensuring the health and happiness of each animal she treats. When she’s not in the clinic, Dr. Arnold enjoys reading, playing games, hiking, and spending quality time with her husband and daughters.

Nina Suziki, BVSc, MRCVS

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Nina Suzuki has been a devoted associate veterinarian at South Shores Animal Hospital since 1998. A graduate of the University of Liverpool in the UK, Dr. Suzuki is committed to delivering compassionate care to both pets and their owners. She believes that a strong bond of trust is essential in veterinary medicine, embodying her motto: “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.” Dr. Suzuki integrates modern techniques with traditional practices, ensuring a well-rounded approach to veterinary care. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys traveling, practicing yoga, hiking, and golfing, finding balance and joy in her personal pursuits.

Andra Booth, VGAL

Veterinary Graduate Assistant

Andra Booth graduated from veterinary school in Romania and has been dedicated to animal care since 2016. She began her career as a licensed veterinary technician and is currently pursuing accreditation in the United States through the ECFVG program. Andra, a team member since 2024, has worked as a Veterinary Graduate Assistant (VGAL), bringing her expertise to South Shores Animal Hospital.

Andra’s professional interests include dentistry, dermatology, and ophthalmology, and she prides herself on treating every patient with the same compassion and empathy she would show her own pets. Fluent in three languages, Andra also has a passion for the outdoors, traveling, camping, kayaking, photography, and criminal sciences. At home, she has two adopted dogs and a cat, each of whom holds a special place in her heart.

Christina

Veterinarian Assistant

Christina has been a Veterinary Assistant since 2004 and joined South Shores Animal Hospital in 2022. She takes great pride in the many aspects of her work, but what she values most is the bond she builds with her patients. Whether they’re visiting for a routine check-up or seeking care during an illness, Christina cherishes knowing that her efforts help ease their pain and anxiety. Seeing them remember her fills her heart with joy.

In her free time, Christina enjoys cooking (especially for her co-workers), watching movies while spending time with her mini zoo of dogs and cats, and learning Spanish on Duolingo.

Chasity

Kennel Assistant

Chasity served as a dedicated Kennel Assistant at South Shores Animal Hospital since 2024. While she is new to the field, her enthusiasm and commitment to animal care are evident in her daily work. In her free time, Chasity enjoys watching movies and spending quality time with her family, cherishing moments that bring them closer together. Her warm personality and love for animals make her a valued member of the team, contributing to the well-being of both pets and their owners.

Kelsie

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Kelsie is a Licensed Veterinary Technician since 2018 and has been a valued teammember at South Shores Animal Hospital since 2023. A graduate of PIMA, she takes pride in making her patients feel comfortable during their exams and excels at performing physical skills efficiently to help minimize treatment times.

In her free time, Kelsie is learning how to code computer applications and dedicates time to training her dogs.

Chloe

Kennel Assistant

Chloe is a Kennel Care team member at South Shores Animal Hospital since 2023. She takes pride in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for pets and their families. Chloe is passionate about caring for the dogs and cats at the hospital, ensuring they feel comfortable and loved while their parents are away.

In her free time, Chloe enjoys spending time with her friends, going out, shopping, and traveling to explore new places.

Crystal Morris

Kennel Assistant

Crystal Morris has been a dedicated Kennel Technician at South Shores Animal Hospital since 2023. A graduate of San Joaquin Valley College in 2021, she takes pride in providing attentive, compassionate care to every animal she works with. Crystal ensures each pet’s needs are met with patience and diligence, creating a safe and comforting environment.

Outside of work, Crystal loves spending time with her family, including her sons and grandchildren. She also enjoys shopping trips with her daughter and exploring creative hobbies like crafting. Crystal’s dedication to her patients and her family reflects her caring and detail-oriented nature.

Jenna

Kennel Assistant

Jenna is a Kennel Care team member at South Shores Animal Hospital since 2024. She takes pride in being attentive and observant, ensuring that the animals in boarding receive the highest level of care and attention.

In her free time, Jenna loves spending time with her daughter, as well as with her family and friends.

Oliver

Kennel Assistant

Oliver Chambers has been with South Shores Animal Hospital since 2023, providing exceptional care and comfort to our boarding pets. He takes great pride in his ability to soothe anxious and uneasy animals, ensuring they feel safe and secure during their stay.

When Oliver isn’t caring for our furry guests, he enjoys unwinding with video games like Skyrim and Skate 3. His calm demeanor and dedication to the well-being of every animal make him a valued member of our team.

Atlanta

Kennel Manager/Veterinary Assistant

Atlanta has been in the veterinary medicine industry since 2000 and has served as both the Kennel Manager and Veterinary Assistant at South Shores Animal Hospital since 2021. A graduate of Penn Foster, Atlanta is committed to ensuring that every patient receives the best care possible, striving to help them leave feeling better than when they arrived. In her free time, Atlanta enjoys spending quality moments with her pugs and attending pug meet-ups. She also loves singing karaoke and soaking up the sun during enjoyable days at the lake, blending her love for animals with her passion for fun and relaxation.

Daniel

Kennel Assistant

Daniel is a dedicated Kennel Attendant at South Shores Animal Hospital since 2023. He graduated from Legacy High School and takes great pride in ensuring the well-being and comfort of the animals in his care. Daniel understands the importance of a safe and nurturing environment for all boarders, striving to provide them with the best experience possible.

Kennel Assistant

Kever has been a Kennel Care team member at South Shores Animal Hospital since 2023 and has experience in veterinary medicine since 2016. He graduated from Bonanza High School and Ultimate Medical Academy. Kever takes pride in ensuring every patient feels as comfortable as they would at home, showering them with attention and love to make their stay as pleasant as possible.

In his free time, Kever enjoys exploring urban legends and scary stories through reading and listening. He also has a passion for drawing, which he indulges in whenever he finds the time.

Samantha

Pharmacy Tech/Vet Assistant

Samantha has served as the Pharmacy Tech and Vet Assistant at South Shores Animal Hospital since 2024, bringing valuable experience to her role after graduating from Desert Rose High School in 2022. She prides herself on her empathy for both animals and their owners, advocating for pets in need and ensuring they receive excellent patient care while feeling safe and comfortable during their visits. In her free time, Samantha enjoys immersing herself in nature, spending quality time with her daughter, and going to the gym. Treatment Mangager

Veronica has been the Treatment Manager at South Shores Animal Hospital since 2000 and has worked in the veterinary medicine industry since 1994. In her free time, Veronica enjoys spending time with her family and her five dogs.

Mikalina

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Mikalina has been a dedicated Licensed Veterinary Technician since 2018 and a valued team member at South Shores Animal Hospital since 2021. She graduated from Pima Medical Institute, where she developed a strong foundation in veterinary medicine. Mikalina takes pride in being a strong advocate for the patients in her care, ensuring they receive the best treatment and support possible. Nicole

Veterinary Assistant

Nicole has been a Veterinary Assistant at South Shores Animal Hospital since 2024. She prides herself on going above and beyond to ensure every patient receives the best possible care. Outside of work, Nicole is passionate about competing in dog shows and dog sports with her own pets, spending much of her free time in these activities.

Karla Arango

Veterinary Technician in Training

Karla has been practicing veterinary care since 2021 and joined the team at South Shores Animal Hospital in 2023. She is currently training to become a certified veterinary technician and earned her education from the University of Nevada, Reno. Karla takes pride in treating each patient as if they were her own, forming strong bonds with both pets and their owners. She believes in providing personalized care and helping owners feel confident in who is caring for their beloved pets.

In her free time, Karla enjoys planning trips, caring for her many plants, and spending time with her cats.

Brenda Borelli

Licensed Veterinary Technician (LV7)

Brenda began her career in veterinary medicine in 2007 and has been a compassionate and skilled Licensed Veterinary Technician at South Shores Animal Hospital since 2010. A graduate of CSN, Brenda is dedicated to creating a welcoming and stress-free experience for pets and their families. She believes that kindness and understanding go a long way in building trust and providing exceptional care.

In her free time, Brenda loves exploring the great outdoors with her dogs. She enjoys hiking, camping, traveling, and participating in various dog sports, which strengthen the bond with her beloved pack. Brenda’s dedication to both her patients and her own pets is a testament to her passion for animal care.

Hila

Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner, Licensed Veterinary Technician 

Hila has been a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner and Licensed Veterinary Technician at South Shores Animal Hospital since 2017, bringing her expertise in veterinary medicine since 2012. She studied at the University of Tennessee and PIMA, where she honed her skills and knowledge. Hila takes pride in building strong bonds and trust with her patients, ensuring they receive compassionate and personalized care.

In her free time, Hila enjoys reading a wide range of books and running her special needs and senior dog rescue, dedicating her passion for animals to helping those who need it most. Her commitment to animal welfare and rehabilitation is evident in both her professional and personal life.

Nick has been a Receptionist at South Shores Animal Hospital since 2015 and has experience in veterinary medicine since 2011. He attended Carrington College and takes pride in working with rescues and helping senior pets find homes. In his free time, Nick enjoys hanging out with his pigeons and peacefully collecting his thoughts.
